About Dohgyu Hwang

I work at Dow, specializing in product development, IP analysis, and R&D strategy to drive business growth. My main interest is how polymers advance consumer electronics, data center infrastructure, auto/industrials, and net-zero initiatives.

At the core of my philosophy is a commitment to creating a positive impact on society by serving others. My post-PhD vision is to decipher global trends, solve complex challenges, and generate opportunities by bridging academic and industrial research.

I enjoy analyzing how technology, competitive moats, and policy shape market sector dynamics, diving into company financials, and using those insights to spot under-the-radar companies in the value chain—a process that feels like a treasure hunt.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, exploring new cuisines, optimizing my lifestyle through trial and error, and taking reflective walks in the forest—which help ideas 'click'.
